In Less Than Four Minutes

There’s this rule we have; if it takes less than five minutes, do it now. So, if we actually kept to the rule consistently, it would be a great way to keep the chores done, and even when we only sometimes follow the rule, it still helps keep our place somewhat organized.
But that’s not the point of this post; five minutes is an understood quantity; four minutes is less common but is a shorter measure of time, so if something can be done in four minutes, why not do it now?

  • Call An Old Friend
    or…
  • Choose a favorite outfit (for the week if you have trouble making these choices)
    or…
  • Learn an interesting social fact
    or…
  • Change your framing
    or…
  • Choose to implement something you learnt (and start doing so)
    or…
  • Put aside a forgotten project
    or…
  • Read one of my shorter lists
    or…
  • organize your wallet
    or…
  • Put away a book that’s sitting next to your bed (or whatever else you just left there)
    or…
  • Thank someone in your life
    or…
  • Learn a healthy breathing method (there are a few, depends on who you ask)
    or…

this post is shorter than average but I’ve been somewhat disoriented recently. I’ll try and get my blog back in working order by next week by giving myself an extra half hour to work on it every day. (But only that week I still have other things in my life.)
