Social Bravery And Social Confidence

Well, I don’t know exactly how to approach this topic so I’ll summarize it quickly.

To begin speaking in public you do not need to be socially confidant. The need and expectation of confidence actually prevents us from speaking up. What you need is to be brave. To speak your mind despite the fear and discomfort for many it isn’t easy and for many it will never be easy. But is can only become easier through practice, if you do something scary often enough enough you’ll fear it less.

For as a man you would assume is incredibly socially confidant said, “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy…” And we remember those words particularly well, even if we don’t particularly like the musician.

So don’t wait or wish you become more confident, for that probably won’t happen. Work through your fear, be brave, and let what was once scary become habit.
